ITCR-L becomes SKFIT
The IT Center for Clinical Research (ITCR-L) has been transformed into a joint section of the University Medical Centre Schleswig-Holstein and the University of Lübeck at the Institute of Medical Biometry and Statistics in 2024. The ITCR-L now operates under the name ‘Section for Clinical Research IT (SKFIT)’.

Section for Clinical Research-IT
The Section for Clinical Research IT at the University of Lübeck (SKFIT) supports medical research in a clinical context. A clinical research IT infrastructure is provided in compliance with applicable data protection and data security guidelines.
HiGHmed
HiGHmed is one of four consortia of the BMBF funding initiative ‘Medical Informatics’ for the nationwide networking of IT facilities at university hospitals.
IT-supported biobank management
In close collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Centre for Biobanking-Lübeck (ICB-L), the CentraXX biobank and study management system from Kairos GmbH was established in cooperation with the UKSH's IT department. The system has been in productive operation since January 2015.
